For the Last 18 years we have been using the Bore Water for Drinking and Cooking as the Metro water was not reliable in quality in our Area. We usually Boil the water and make it cool so the sediments can lay down and will be clear for Drinking.
Earlier we also used Traditional Candle based Water Purifier but it takes a long time to quench our thirst. We have been looking for a decent water filter to avoid separate filtering and boiling procedures. The first brand came to my mind was AquaGuard who are the leading brand in water purifiers. When i started getting quotations i also came to know a new company KENT which sells Water Purifiers with the latest technological advancements.
I met the marketing Executive of these 2 Products and KENT seems to more convincing for me and decided to buy for 16,500. This might because the KENT marketing Executive was more skilled in selling a product to a customer.
The following are the features
Water Tank of 8L (Pearl Model)

Product Quality :
After Installing the KENT we saved lot of energy by avoiding the Water Boiling. The KENT System uses a special UV light to Kill Germs and Bacterias and the RO Membrane takes care of filtering the unnecessary minerals and salts and maintains the minimum minerals needed for the tasteful water. Overall the quality is good and it works as advertised. One thing they also marketed as it way some computer control chip and alarm to inform about the failure which is marketing selling point and i don’t see any alarm till now like this even though this device failed once.
Challenges after one Year :
The Product was working well till 1 year. Then the water tastes sour and we don’t felt the water is comfortable due to frequent coughs and throat infection. Then we decided to Boil them again once filtered from the Kent. In the next few months the Device Stopped filtering and there is no water in the Output. Something went wrong.
When we checked with the Service Person he said the Motor is fault and the warranty is over. What a Product which the customer bought for 16K and the Motor which is the heart of the Purifier failed to work in just 1 year. This is a terrible thing. Then we decided to replace the motor not with the Authorized Service Dealer but from a freelancer. I was not happy with the Auth Service People because the response are not convincing. Once of the response i received is It all depends on the Luck. For some people the Motor fails in six months and for some 4 years.
Good thing after Changing Motor :
Finally, the Motor is replaced by a RO Filter Freelancer. We have used KHEMFLOW Motor instead of KENT Motor as KhemFlow has a higher output rate and also No Noise or Vibration when the machine is in Operation
Now the machine works good and water taste is also Good. The TDS Level was around 850. Now it falls between 110 and 140.
I do recommend the RO Water Purifier but KENT Product is over priced. The assembly costs with Good Motor and RO Filters comes around 10-12K but they selling for 16K
